7 minute Workout – My Introduction to the Program
My personal introduction to 7 minute workout started with an e-mail invitation from Joel Therien to check out his newest MLM business opportunity7minuteworkout.com. I have been fighting a losing battle with weight gain since my early forties. That adds up to 27 years of total failure and it is not from lack of trying. In those 27 years I only gained a pound or 3 each year which does not sound all that bad but you do the math. 27 years later that amounts to 54 pounds in total and that is exactly where I am at this point in time – 54 pounds over my ideal weight.
I have the same story as many post-menopausal women, our metabolism slows down considerably. Many of us are on medication that causes weight gain and in my case I am also hypothyroid which slows metabolism down even more. Please don’t get me wrong, these are not excuses they are the hard to face facts of life on the downside of the hill. If your young and if your lucky you’ll end up on the other side of the hill as well. But and this is a big but if you follow the 7 minute workout exercise and eating program there is no way you will ever end up overweight or out of shape physically.
This is one of my before pictures, with the help and guidance of 7 minute workout I can hardly wait to showcase my weight loss and health gain. I will post my progress as I move forward. Check out the Gallery page for more photos.
My Past Efforts at Weight Loss
I joined weight watchers several times over the years but found every time that I could not see results unless I went hungry all the time and we all know that will never work over the long term. I would lose a few pounds but never be able to stick to the diet for long. My exercise efforts had the same outcome. I would join a gym, work out initially, but never be able to make the regime a lifestyle change. Atkins, South Beach, cabbage soup diet you name it I tried it all without lasting results. I have tried walking, running, skipping you name it to no avail. I suffer from Fibromyalgia, a painful muscle condition, that requires a lot of what I call down time or resting just for pain control. All my efforts have not resulted in a happy fit healthy lifestyle but I am known to be slow and persistent. The happy fit healthy lifestyle will come because I will not accept the alternative.
How 7 minute workout differs from all other programs I have tried.
I know I can stick to a program that advocates 7 minute workouts every other day for the rest of my life. Especially when you start seeing results. I have only been doing this for a week when I write this post so it is still to early to report my results but what I have noticed thus far is that I look forward to my exercises. This is a very new feeling for me. My body does not like to move itself. Every movement, even to turn my neck or lift my arm hurts so therefore if I don’t have to I don’t do it. I remember driving in a van with my 5 year old grandson Drake and he kept asking me to turn around and look at this grandma, two seconds later look at that grandma. I finally said Drake I can’t keep turning around every other second it hurts my body. He was stunned and amazed, talking to his siblings he said did you hear what grandma said it hurts her body just to turn around. Oh, to be young again and find that fact surprising!
Fitness & Health Progress Reports
As I continue my journey within this fitness program I will chart my progress in both images and reports, so that you can track my results as well and judge for yourself whether this program works or doesn’t work. I will report the good, the bad, and the ugly. Not only will I be totally transparent in my weight loss and fitness journey I will also report on how this business model is working out for me. I have never had a home based business before. I see this as a very exciting experience to be in a support group who share their journey along with mine and who encourage you every step of the way. It is a known fact that support groups are one of the major factors in the phenomenal success of AA meetings and in other endeavors, just like weight loss or learning a new business; where people are striving together towards the same goal.
